Heart of Savouram
#EmpowerHer - Our purpose is to support and upgrade women from the domestic help community in India.
We consider domestic support as the key to growth. And by providing simple opportunities to these resilient women with fair wages, safe working conditions, we aim to uplift their lives, and consequently enhance the well-being of their families and communities.
Savouram is women owned company, and we make all our products in small batches, and source single origin ingredients from local farmers.
Founder
Rohini Unnikrishnan Dugal
Savouram was started, with her wanting to share with world all the good and 100% authentic stuff she grew up consuming. Spices, oil, condiments and grains which was a part of her kids, family and her daily nourishing ingredients for her family meal, came from where her roots belonged to, Kerala.
Having worked for over a decade with farmers in rural India, factory workers and delivery boys, starting Savouram felt like the natural next step.
Past experience includes working with a multinational corporation to being a co founder of a Dairy company and former COO of a premium lifestyle brand which was quality and design centric. Received 'Outstanding woman entrepreneur award 2016-17' for being the only youngest self-made woman entrepreneur in Dairy industry in India and for her work in uplifting farmer community.
TEDx speaker on 'Method or madness to becoming a young entrepreneur'.
Currently she is chasing her dreams or one of her 2 kids. You’ll find her if she catches either of them.
